The simple church with a bell tower on its left and built from andesite was constructed between 1939 and 1942 at the same time with the Grand Hotel of Galyatető to provide spiritual services for the guests. The colourful, Gothic style glass windows are the works of Lili Sztehlo. The cultural historical significance of the church is that in 1942 Zoltán Kodály composed one of his most beautiful clerical music, the organ version of Silent Mass.
