Swimming-pool

There are no bathing possibilities in the Mátra at present. The following bathing establishments are all located in the ‘periphery’.

Bükkszék
The settlement is well known for the medicinal water, called Salvus, leaping up there. The medicinal water could be used to heal different illnesses either as drinking or as bathing water. The lido can serve not only people who want to be cured but also the ones who want some relaxation and enjoyment. For these purposes there is a sweet-water pool and a giant 150 m slider.

Mátraderecske
The village was famous for its thermal water, and since the middle 90s the only carbon-dioxide gas (Choke-damp) bath of Hungary could be found there. Chokedamp is used to cure heart- and haemal-affections, high blood pressure and diabetes.
