In the memorial park near the village of Tar the Buddhist idea, atmosphere and peace become alive. It is a real curiosity in today’s rushing world. Let’s experience it.
Sándor Kőrösi Csoma Memorial Park can be found along Road 21 on the western edge of the Mátra in the valley of the Zagyva that offers an exceptional view and peace. The Stupa, the typical snow white Buddhist temple visible from the distance, was inaugurated by his holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama in person in 1992 the 150th anniversary of the death of Csoma. The Stupa is a sacred building where relics and consecrated objects are placed. Next to the Stupa in a tiny pavilion an exhibition on our great scientist can be visited where we can get to know Tibet and Buddhist values. Tara Tea House of Tibetan style and a souvenir shop also serve the guests.
